Using the Official Debian 3.0r0 Disk 1-NONUS disc I built using
jigdo-lite (http://www.tldp.org/HOWTO/mini/Debian-Jigdo/), that problem
was not present, so I'm guessing they fixed it. We did an install on
some rather pokey UltraSPARC box; a SPARC10 or something.
