> Excellent work, did Digifone give you the number no probs?
No. The helpdesk staff don't seem to know that it exists. I found the number
in a configuration file in a commerical SMS software package. (After looking
for it for about 1year.)
Eircell have a tap server as well, (an 01 number) which can be used to send
unlimted SMS's per call, but you need an account with them, and they'll
charge you 10p per SMS as well as the phone call costs. I think I have the
contact number somewhere if anyone is interested ?
I was using a minicom script to send messages directly from my mobile, but
that's not much use if you only have one phone.

I have a couple of very simple shell scripts for doing this, it even includes
some basic queing. I'm also going to try and write a perl script to access
Eircell web based SMS service ( http://www.eircell.ie/sms/ ).
Colin.
