System.map - IIRC - is a file that basically maps all kernel functions to
addresses. It is automatically generated when you compile a new kernel - all
you have to do is to install it. It should be in /usr/src/linux after the
kernel compile and you'll need to install it where the old one is (on my RHL
5.2 system, that's /boot).
