That's nice to know - we don't much like spammers here. Are you the Mark Fagan
from Cara who used to post here occasionally before ?

I don't believe anybody said that. However, it's clear that your belief
that you had been offered a good deal was wrong, so I hope that perhaps ILUG
has saved you some money and time.

I mentioned the US but I did not say that you were from the US. What I said was

I said this because there was a Pacific time zone in the header. However,
a closer look reveals that you're using Yahoo -> web mailer on their site ->
Pacific timezone in header. I see you've now switched to a free provider
in Ireland - support your local sheriff :-)

I didn't see anyone saying that (though I may have missed it) but they ARE older
drives and they ARE intrinsically slower because they are bigger - heads have
further to move.

I don't think anyone was unhappy (except, apparently, you, and you shouldn't be
because we've probably saved you money). There was a lively discussion, but
that's what it's all about. Just to demonstrate how unhappy I'm not, I hereby
offer to supply you with however many drives you want (i.e. no obligation to buy
10) as follows

Seagate ST 34312A 4.3GB UDMA 66 IEP 72 or

Seagate ST 38420A 8.6GB UDMA 66 IEP 95

These drives are brand new and current technology.

Nobody did. Nobody would. If it had been spam, it might have been considered, I
suppose, but it wasn't spam, you were simply misguided :-(

Kindest regards,
