Ok, this is my first post. Ive searched the faq's and stuff, but i couldnt
really find what i was looking for. Here it is... Right now, im running win98
on a pretty nice system. I would like to get rid of windows all together, and
have a total linux machine. Should I
a) install linux through windows, then get rid of windows.
b) get rid of windows (format hard drive?) then start clean with linux?
c) throw the computer out the window and become a monk?
I also have a question concerning FAT32, which is what my disk is right now.
If I format my drive, does that get rid of the FAT32, or am i stuck with it?
I know linux has its own file system, but im not very familiar with how this
all works. One last thing...After formatting my computer, will I be left with
dos, or how will i access my a: drive to install linux from the discs...
Thank you!
