yes. the editor had a lisp interpreter by then, i think it's safe to call
it bloated.

i hunted down the posts yesterday and they seemed very wise. i truly think
propreitary file formats that drive people nuts are caused by people with
"good ideas" on how to "fix things." mbox is everywhere. it's not perfect,
but it's workable. bar slapping it in a database (to search through the last
40 years of messages), it's the best way to go if only because it's what
every other mailer uses. (ok, besides mh) and rewriting messages is a
definite no-no. so i'm glad he's participating and shooting those good
intentions down before they handicap the gnome-mailer before it gets out
the door.
i wonder if the gnome people realize that if they stray from any standard
they're going to find dozens of articles discussing how redhat is attempting
to fragment the linux world?

it was bloated compared to mosaic. then again it supported advanced features
like inline jpegs...
