Well, if you want to dump window$ totally, the best (?) way to do it is to
boot to dos (preferably with a boot floppy), run fdisk and delete all your
partitions. REformatting the drive will just replace a full FAT32
drive/partition with an empty one, which is no good for linux. The best
thing to do would be to make a win98 boot floppy, and make sure that you
can use it to access the CDROM (just in case). If you are installing from
floppies, try booting off the first floppy before you go deleting anything
(just to see if it can be done). Once you delete the partitions, all
you'll be able t do is boot/run stuff from the floppy. At this stage, if
you change your mind, you'll have to run fdisk again, create a partition,
reboot and format it, then reinstall windoze.
