Ahhh, but have you every tried to program with NT's security APIs?
It's a mess. It looks like it's designed to be the most flexible
security system this side of the galaxy, but boy does it get complex.

I use to think VMS's ACL system services were a pain until I saw these...

It's no wonder commercial app developers don't do sensible things like
use proper file protection. It's just too damn difficult.
