Dave, just let your lilo setup fool windows ...
(as ever read the man pages first - my memory is no hard disk)
you can put a set of commands in the 'other' section ...
...
Other=/dev/hdb1
label=Windows
map 0x80 to 0x81
map 0x81 to 0x80
...
This'll effectivelly let windows 'Think' it's on hda when it's on hdb ...
