I don't know if it's of any help without more details, but I do remember
that Amstrad PCW users used to have problems with magnetic shielding of the
system. The suggested solution in many magazines was to spray the *inside*
of the monitor with a metallic spray - I thought it was aluminium. Now,
despite being a physics student, my knowledge of magnetic fields is *very*
sketchy and I can't tell you off the top of my head if this would work or
not. I do know that the capacitors inside have a very high charge on them
though, and if you're not too familiar with taking monitors apart, it might
not be a very good idea i.e. DON'T take the cover off if you're not
absolutely sure what you're doing - I don't want to be sued!!
