I saw some postings mentioning that this was a `winmodem', implying that it
needs a very specific driver to work properly, but such a thing only exists
for Windows. The company did say in a press announcement (at
http://www.pctel.com/news/press8299.html) that they've got things going (aka a
driver) to be able to use HSP modems under Linux, but nothing on where users
can get it. You could drop them a note seeking more details, though.

There's a bit of conversation on www.driverforum.com about this specific
modem, but I'm afraid none of it gives the impression that it's been pulled
off yet, from what I saw.
