heres what I've been using to redirect stderr to stdout and then use tee to
append the output to a file called make.log
make 2>&1 | tee -a make.log

Subject: [ILUG] Saving bash out put to file
-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE-----
Hash: SHA1
The GUI I use with PGP/GPG has been giving some problems since I upgraded to
SuSe 6.2.
The developers have asked me to forward the output when I run make.
I have not discovered how to save the output to file, and I do not relish
the thought of having to type out the whole thing.
I would appreciate some guidance.
I use kvt.
Regards
Brian
