Anyone know why you have to balance phases, if your UPS has a three-phase
intake, and single phase outlet ?
As in, I was helping power off a big machine, and it's disks (drawing
about 100amps in total), and the electrician was giving out about the
phases being differently loaded - the machine & it's disks were on the
high phase, and loads of other machines were on the other phases.
What's the story ? Does the UPS have to drain more power to keep the
voltages up on the other phases, or what ?
