well - because grep doesn't show anything. I tried
grep functionname /lib/*
and it showed up nothing. I tried
grep cos /lib/libm.a
and it also showed nothing so presumable the symbols have been stripped
from the libs which is okay because grepping binarys for text sounds like
the wrong way to do it even if it does work
