Hi,
I'm currently having problems getting qmail to send mail to a remote host.
Sending locally works grand but when I do a test send as set out in
TEST.deliver:
echo to: sammonm at domain tcd.ie | /var/qmail/bin/qmail-inject
nothing appears in the remote mailbox. Yet the log appears to show that
everything is OK:
qmail: 937513338.264439 new msg 2078
qmail: 937513338.266408 info msg 2078: bytes 217 from
<root at domain hibernia.oceanfree.net> qp 1730 uid 0
qmail: 937513338.344292 starting delivery 97: msg 2078
to remote sammonm at domain tcd.ie
qmail: 937513338.345924 status: local 0/10 remote 1/20
qmail: 937513349.504744 delivery 97: success:
134.226.1.24_accepted_message./Remote_host_said:_250_VAA12253_Message_accepted_for_delivery/
qmail: 937513349.506624 status: local 0/10 remote 0/20
qmail: 937513349.508053 end msg 2078
Do I need to define a remote SMTP based on my connection (ie smtp.clubi.ie
or whatever) somewhere in the qmail config files
TIA
PS cheers to Padraig and Zeris for the mutt answers, it's sorted.
