On the other hand - and I might be a bit naive here - if I connect to a
*web* server, I don't expect any traffic on any other connections and I'm
not even sure if there should be. Especially with MS "easy administration"
software, I'd be inclined to suspect that those machines are set up badly or
(more likely) that MS chose defaults to suit themselves (as in "MS machines
only") without telling the users. But, as I said, this point of view
might be naive.
On another note: If I wanted to change my strategy and start
firewalling/filtering stuff like that out - where would be a good starting
point to learn the necessary knowledge?
