Make a mental note to yourself along the lines "It's always the users
fault" or "OPERATOR ERROR OPERATOR ERROR"
besides ... if outlook is going to be doing that type of crap which it
eventually does , how long this takes is dependant on the user habits
and/or the type of mail they get, ie a message greater than 4MB will
crap out outlook 97 when it's attempting to DL. your best bet is to
re-format the whole machine because discontinuing outlook won't make the
prob go away. Outlook being the absolute POS that it is will have
affected your whole registry (which Uninstalling don't fix btw) in an
adverse fashion leading to continued bit-rot. I put a _lot_ of effort
into this some time back which is why I've got everybody here using
Netscape (almost as bloated but still better, and it would be open & in
use anyway so why not?)
re-format & install or ghost afresh depending on the way you do it.
severe but 100% effective as there are no more dodgey screensavers or
shitty message_mates lying around to bollik with the system.
