Another version of this is the acronym PEBKAC, which stands for "Problem
Exists Between Keyboard And Chair." (often used in tech support circles
apparently).

Not just Outlook. In M$'s efforts to integrate their browser with the
desktop (oops, sorry, that never happened, did it?), installing either IE4
or up and any form of outlook means your registry will never be the same
again. they dig themselves in so deep that trying to remove them will rip
the guts out of your registry. I suppose it's sort of like your machine
becomes part of the Borg Collective or something, it can never fully go
back to what it was.

Yeah, Netscape may be crap and crash a lot, but at least you can uninstall
it pretty easily if you have to.
