Hmm.. as I said to you I'm on freebsd, but to connect using CHAP to esat
shouldn't be too hard.
Make sure the connect script exits after getting CONNECT. Add require-chap
to
/etc/ppp/options (check the man pages for definite syntax, but I think
it's require-chap).
Chap-secrets files should be
nolimits * "nolimits" *
* nolimits "*" *
And make sure you have
name nolimits
in /etc/ppp/options
Other lines that might be of use are
user nolimits
and
auth
to require authentication.
You might want to hunt down the patch to pppd to support MS-CHAP, on the
off chance that ESATCLEAR are using that.
