ok here's what's there ... & it all seems pretty similar to another RH
5.2 box I've got here ...
since then I've nuked all these files & forcibly re-installed pam
(pam-0.64-4), which hasn't seemed to fix anything, I'm slow to re-boot
the system as God only knows what could go wrong!
