#Well if we couldn't get Linus or Alan then we could always
#invite Eric the cat as one of the guest speakers as all
#ILUGers are so familiar with him now.
#That could really capture the imagination of the media
#As for this becoming a conference.. I don't think that is a problem.
I can just imagine it now:
"meow. meow, purrr, meow, yelp, snarl"
#It might have some of the features of a conference but if
#everybody is there
#to have
#fun rather than to be seen to be having fun ( big difference )
#then it would
#be very
#successful. Could be the start of a whole new kind of computing event.
Just remember to bring your vets in tow.
#Well it would be except MAC users in the states used to do
this kind of
#thing years
#ago. I would hope that the same pioneering spirit ( without
#the arrogance
#perhaps )
#exists in the linux community at the moment.
#I suppose that we should wait a while though. What with LAID
#coming up soon
#and all that...
#
Well hang on a sec, it's likely there will already be not one
but two linux events [read conferences] happening this year
without any mention of this party turning into another one.
Why not take this as a treat [e.g. party!] and pace ourselves
as far as organising things are concerned - like leaving something
until next year.
