In SuSE Linux, the default window manager is set in the file
/etc/rc.config. The variable name is "DEFAULT_WM".

It should be possible to set this using the susewm screen in
YaST. If fvwm95 is not listed, check that the fvwm95 rpm is
installed. If it is not installed, then install it and re-run
YaST - it should then be listed as an option.

If fvwm95 is installed etc, it is also possible to edit the
/etc/rc.config file directly to set DEFAULT_WM to "fvwm95".
It is then necessary to run the "SuSEconfig" program (YaST does
this automatically). "SuSEconfig" propagates changes from
/etc/rc.config to other dependent config files.

In either case, you will need to log out and log back in
before the change to the default window manager is effective.
(The default WM name is stored in the environment variable
WINDOWMANAGER which is set at login time).
