 Logical Volume Manager. Some experimental software that will let you say
"let 100MB of that disk, that partition there, and this disk all be one
logical volume". You could them format/mount the logical volume, and then
even grow/shrink it whenever you want. Kinda like Veritas Volume Manager
(which rocks, but it's far too complex and breakable for it's own good).
