It was at the compile stage that I got the error. I just types ./configure and
it failed. I had compiled this exact app on RedHat 6.0 and there were no
problems, but it doesn't work on SuSE. I think it might be missing a header
file so I'll have a look through the selections in Yast.
Thanks
Paul.

xdpyinfo will show the extensions, it should be called SHAPE in this listing.
I am surprised that the DockApp couldnt find it, was this as the compile stage
or when running the actual application. If it was at the compile stage maybe
you are missing a header file ?. If it was at the run stage and the SHAPE
extension is listed in xpdyinfo then theres possibly a bug in DockApp. If its
at the run stage and there is no SHAPE in xdpyinfo then thats odd as I though
XFree86 always had the shape extension compiled into it.
