always always always unplug the power...
220V going thru your arm isn't a good idea.

you can get grounding
 straps for your arm from farnell...

AFAIR most sun hardware come with anti-static straps for your hands/arms..

don't know when a voltage spike can fry your boards...i lost a modem from
a voltage spike ...sniff sniff..still miss him ..
