Hi,

I am currently trying to upgrade my laptop HD from 3Gig to 6.4Gig.
Currently I have a 2Gig Win95 Partition,a 800Meg Linux (/) partition,
and the rest for Linux swap partition and a swap-to-disk partition.

What I want to do is extend my Linux partition size to 2 Gig but have
come across a snag. Since it is a laptop I can only have one of the HDs
installed at a time, therefore copying the files will require some sort
of
network copy.

I had thought that perhaps mirroring my current Linux installation on a
Linux server, and then trying to create an ext2 partition on the new
HD. Then mount the new HD onto the servers filesystem and copying
the stuff across. The problem is no matter which way I look at it I need

a Linux installation locally on the laptop (i.e. to create the ext2
partition,
run nfsd, etc.).

Can somebody tell me is it possible to get a small linux installation
which
I can boot off some floppies and will give me network support etc. ?
And,
more to the point am I gone off my rocker and making this whole
procedure far too complex?

Thanks,
John.
