My boss set a challenged for me and a colleague and I to see who would be
first to break his password encryption system saying it would take weeks.

Imagine his surprise when I emailed him a list of passwords an hour later
along with my decryption program which had been compiled six months
earlier.

I like the idea of substituting the login program with one which records
erroneous entries.

I'd be inclined to go for the envelope system but keep the stationery
cabinet locked.
