I was waiting for Paxman to draw blood but it never happened.
He was freaking Bill out a bit though with all the jokes at his expense, I
get the impression however that Billy-boy is a bore. He was animated when
selling the Microsoft point of view and catatonic when trying to discuss
anything else.

All in all, he may be richer than you or I, but he's never shown me anything
that says he smarter.

For example I loved his quote about MS BOB failing because "it was before
it's time".
Ohh, and I just thought that it was sucky implementation of a sucky idea.
But then I'll never be as smart as Bill ;-)

Mark.

Hmmm - it was one of the few times that JP has failed - someone must
have
put heavy pressure on him to play nicely. It reminded of the Snow /
Lewinsky interview a few months back.

I was surprised that he allowed Bill to repeatedly spout how M$ opened
up
computers to the world masses and hint that they were largely
responsible
for the interent - as opposed to closed standards, expensive software,
dirty
tricks.
