A fairly straightforward compile & link of some stuff with a crypt() call on
bog standard RH6.0 yields the following . . .
"undefined reference to crypt()"
ok so it can't find the correct library / symbol but . . . . .not much more
else can be said, . . . . . the same code & command line compiles & links
cleanly on a slackware 3.6 system . . .
The crypt library & symlink are correct in /lib
ldconfig seems to pick up the crypt libraries correctly
Explicitly specifying the crypt library on the command line doesn't help
either . . . . .
Anybody found this before ?
Or can someone suggest where to go next ?
Hoping somene reads their ilug on a Sunday . . .
