I don't know much but a friend of mine was in Canada for a while and he thought it was cool. He was there on an in and out job though so its hard to determine from that. At the very least its like America without Americans - and craft dinner!
Canada is on my own top 5 list anyway - probably at # 5 it has to be said. Basically its a good standard of living and quite cheap afaik.
