I have a windows XDMCP client which I want to use it to connect to a
Linux box running RH6.0. When I run the client telling it to do an XDMCP
broadcast an entry for the Linux box appears in the menu, but when I try
and start a new session the client times out.
I have managed to get the client to connect to Sun hosts so the problem
is definitely with the Linux setup. My Xaccess file is shown below:
======<Xaccess>
# $XConsortium: Xaccess,v 1.5 91/08/26 11:52:51 rws Exp $
#
# Access control file for XDMCP connections
#
snapper.cs.may.ie #any host can
get a login window
* CHOOSER BROADCAST #any indirect host can get a
chooser
======</Xaccess>
I have tried commenting out every line in this file but still I get the
same
behaviour i.e. the Linux machine still appears on the menu. Is this what
it should do? or should it refuse broadcast requests.
Also does RedHat have an alternate location for its configuration
files?
TIA,
John.
