As one may read in portion of email below, The Dublin Food Co-op project seems to be firming up quite nicely. In addition to a list of Linux implementations around Ireland, how about an "adopt-an-org", or "Penguin adoption agency"? Low-margin non-profit organisations around Ireland could post a "call for help" on the ILUG web site, and various members could respond with time and materials, maybe even shift hardware donations into these organisations? There could even be a web/email based support system, and instructor led courses a couple times a year? I know of at least two organisations, other than the Dublin Food Co-op that require extensive help with their computer technology (or lack of same). Or maybe I am just off my trolley . . . 7F00,0000,0000> Well, we had the IT meeting in the co-op and they were somewhat > surprised that I found people to donate time/materials for free.
